Scratchboard
My current assignment for Illustration techniques here at SCAD-ATL is a set of three illustrations for a fairy tale, one large piece and two smaller spot illustrations. I chose "The Green Bird," my favorite Chinese fairytale (is it still a fairy tale if there are no fairies in it? Is it a folktale if it has magical elements? anyway...)
Top: sketch for large illustration (final here, bottom, spot #1 finished.
Cheers!

From The Home Decorating Front
Mother Superior
A drawing I did in my Drawing for Illustrators sketchbook. With details. I like the nun hugging the pony.
Also, progress shot of a drawing I'm working on for class. Probably about 1/4 done (?). 18x24. (Note: more here!

From the Graphic Novel Front
Some process shots from a little bit of The Pearl Wars (working title!) that I was able to squeeze out last week.
Some bug snuggling, right before things start going wrong. :)
And some collages I made on cards.
The inside of this one is a pop-up and is really cool, but my camera cord is currently AWOL so...
edit: found it!
